Trump campaigned on costs and inflation, but as soon as he won the election, he announced that he would not be doing anything about it, which was one of the few promises that he has kept.
What Trump didn’t tell the American people was that his policies, such as tariffs and tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations, would make the affordability crisis worse.
Trump not only avoids talking about affordability, but when he does, he dismisses the issue completely.
