Brooke ‘Where’s The Beef?’ Rollins Is Somehow Celebrating Higher Beef Prices

During an appearance at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, Agriculture Sec. Brook Rollins addressed the high costs of fuel and beef by offering no solutions, but was very enthusiastic that, as prices rise, “people continued to buy.”

The best she could do to help the suffering farm industry was to say, Trump is “working on relief for farmers facing higher diesel costs while also trying to address elevated beef prices without hurting cattle and dairy producers.”

This did not make them feel better.

ROLLINS: The American public loves beef and loves what we produce in America.

We’re the best at it in the world.

And so, as the prices continued to creep up, for example, on a pound of ground beef, normal supply and demand would tell you that as the prices went up, the demand would go down, and then the prices would follow, right?

I’m an AG development major. I didn’t want an economist, but even I know these, even I know how this works.

And what has, what’s happening was exactly the opposite, that the prices continue to rise and people continue to buy.

And that’s the long-term good news.

At least people are still buying beef is not something she should be proud of. Beef is a major source of nourishment for many families, so they are forced to pay more. This makes it harder for families to buy other necessary items.

Rollins: “As the price has continued to creep up for a pound of ground beef, normal supply and demand would tell you the demand would go down, and then the prices follow. What’s happening is the opposite. Prices have continued to rise &people have continued to buy. That’s the long-term good news.”
