“There would be a backlash”: Harris reportedly skipped Rogan podcast over staff’s fears of reaction

An adviser to Doug Emhoff claimed Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris skipped a chance to seem on Joe Rogan’s podcast over fears of a progressive “backlash.”

“There was a backlash with a few of our progressive workers that didn’t need her to be on it, and the way there could be a backlash,” stated Jennifer Palmieri, an adviser to Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff, per the Monetary Instances.

The host of “The Joe Rogan Expertise” has shared a number of the explanation why an interview with Harris by no means materialized. Within the weeks earlier than Election Day, he shared that he refused to do an on-site interview whereas Harris was campaigning. On Tuesday, Rogan stated that Harris’ marketing campaign put the kibosh on sure matters throughout a possible interview, which led him to say no.

If true, the ban on legalization speak could be unusual. Harris’ marketing campaign pushed marijuana legalization as a plank of their marketing campaign in its closing days.

Palmieri, for her half, stated the desire they-won’t they information cycle created a “bizarre dynamic” between the marketing campaign and Rogan.
