THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ICE GESTAPO RAIDS AGAINST IMMIGRANTS IN MINNEAPOLIS AND OTHER AMERICAN CITIES THAN THE ROUNDING UP OF JEWS IN 1930S GERMANY. THE DICTATOR CALLED THEM VERMIN, BLAMED THEM FOR DESTROYING THE COUNTRY, AND DECLARED THEY HAD TO BE REMOVED FROM SOCIETY.
Without hesitation, Donald Trump included Nazi’s and white supremacist militia members in his mass pardoning of the 1,500 Jan. 6th insurrectionists. It is surprising that any Jew would believe that anti- Semitism is not coursing through his veins in the same way the hatred of brown people consumes him. He protects Ice no matter how cruel they treat people, just like he protected the insurrectionists and the Charlottesvile Nazis.
Trump knows his base is filled with racists and anti- Semites, and yet he chose to pardon them anyway and unleash these known, violent anti- Semites back into the public. Similarly, he has knowingly welcomed known racists into the ICE regime. The hatred and cruelty we are seeing towards immigrants and citizens across America who are peacefully protesting against Trump’s lawless cruelty is chillingly similar to other totalitarian regimes around the world.
The core of what Stephen Miller and Donald Trump are doing with their mass immigration policy is using racist fear to justify murder, concentration camps and loyalty to an authoritarian. Because what tbey are doing is illegal, the American people are doing the work to protect democracy that the Congress and Supreme Court are too corrupt and to do.
For those who mourn the $6 million Jews lost in the Holocaust and the murdered ICE victims Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, know that we must continue to fight against racism, cruelty, covert anti- Semitism and a dictator whose cruelty has no limits. Minneasotans are brave and are showing other Americans that We The People have the power to beat fascism.
