The ceasefire agreement that was supposed to bring about a two-week pause in the US war against Iran appears to be on the verge of collapse.
Israel is bombing Lebanon, which was included in the ceasefire. The Trump administration is claiming that Lebanon was not included in the ceasefire in spite of written evidence showing that Lebanon is supposed to be included under the ceasefire.
Iran is also alleging that the United States is violating the ceasefire.

Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf posted on X:
The deep historical distrust we hold toward the United States stems from its repeated violations of all forms of commitments — a pattern that has regrettably been repeated once again.
….
In such situation, a bilateral ceasefire or negotiations is unreasonable.
Iran says Israel’s attacks on Lebanon are a violation of the agreement. A drone was sent into Iranian airspace, and Iran says the Uranium is not covered under the agreement.
The agreement is teetering on the brink of collapse, and negotiations may need to be held just to save the ceasefire before other negotiations can take place.
The whole situation is turning into a joke.
Trump is trying to flee a war that he started, but it appears Israel is trying to keep him in the war by violating the ceasefire agreement.
The Trump administration has been frantically trying to sell their cave on the war as a win, but the administration is trying to change the terms over control of the Strait of Hormuz, and who will collect the toll on ships passing through.
Ceasefires are always tricky, but there is a strong case to be made that there is no ceasefire in Iran, because the agreement started to fall apart shortly after it was announced.
Trump’s Iran ceasefire may go down in history as the ceasefire that never was.
