Last month, Chris Hayes perfectly summed up Trump’s effort to scapegoat an innocent American for his own $17 million, reflecting pool epic failure. Last week, Trump’s U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, had no choice but to drop felony charges against ex-Olympian David Hearn and admit the damage to the pool was done by Trump’s own, no-bid contractor.
Instead of moving on and addressing the real problems facing Americans, Trump can’t stop throwing temper tantrums over the wound to his tender fee-fees.
On Friday, Trump demanded Pirro “revisit” the dropped charges. In addition to sticking to his original lie that accused former Olympian David Hearn vandalized the pool, Trump’s psychotic rage suggested Hearn’s supposedly liberal politics is “evidence” of his guilt:
Every day it seems, Trumpflation and the Trump economy get worse. Any non-billionaire who buys groceries or gasoline knows that all too well. That’s not including the number of Americans trying to make do after losing their health insurance and/or food benefits, thanks to the Trump and Musk DOGE cuts. Trump’s unnecessary and inflationary war against Iran isn’t going well, either.
Yet billionaire Trump is focused not on doing his real job but on his fragile ego and spewing malicious lies to protect it. Just think how much that $17 million from his botched vanity project could have helped needy Americans. Probably more will be spent on further repairs. All the while President Golden Ballroom claims the federal government can’t afford “Medicaid, Medicare, all these individual things.” That doesn’t include his “individual things,” obviously.
Chris capper Liebenthal suggested that since Trump loves to put his name on everything, that we refer to the Reflecting Pool as the Trump Swamp. Perfectly fitting, don’t you think?
