Welp, we found out why Trump doxxed Tom Cotton when he didn’t want to go along with him on making daylight saving time permanent. It’s all about him, of course.
From Raw Story on the doxxing: Trump sends his fans after GOP senator — and gives them his phone number:
President Donald Trump posted a GOP Senator’s cellphone number in a Truth Social post on Saturday in an effort to make daylight saving time permanent.
Trump posted the number of Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and urged Arkansas residents to call him and pressure the senator to drop his opposition to the Sunshine Protection Act because changing clocks is “very expensive for our Nation.”
“Everybody in Arkansas, Tom Cotton, a friend of mine, is holding up a very important Bill,” Trump wrote. “For some reason, Tom is stopping the Bill and, in the Senate, it’s very easy to do, it only takes one!”

Cotton gave a mealymouthed response that didn’t mention Trump by name but defended his actions.
No one likes changing the clock, me included, but Congress has enacted permanent Daylight Savings Time multiple times before and repealed it each time once Americans experienced absurdly late sunrises in the winter. Arkansans don’t want their kids going to school in the pitch…

Trump was asked about Cotton’s refusal to budge on the matter by a reporter later on Saturday and his response was basically screw those kids, it’s messing up my golf games.
TRUMP: We want to get away from this ridiculous way and custom of every twice a year, turning your clocks back, turning your clocks forward, being late for dinner, being late for very important meetings. It’s ridiculous.
And if you look at the public, they agree. That’s a 100 percent issue. Sixty-five percent. I’ll give you an example. Right now, we’re sitting out here. It’s light. It’s nice. If you come down here and in another three weeks, it’ll be dark. It’ll be, who wants it?
We want our sunlight in the afternoon. But more importantly than that, we don’t want to change clocks twice a year. It’s very expensive. It’s got many problems. Even crime, as crazy as it sounds, when you have light, you have much less fun.
So the House voted it more than 80%. It’s been sitting up there, and hopefully we can get Tom Cotton to move. Tom Cotton is holding it. He shouldn’t be holding it. It’s an issue that people want.
We had it a long time ago, but they used it for other purposes to get something else approved, and they gave it up. But people want to have light in the evening. But really what they want more than that, more than that by a lot, they don’t want to have to go around changing clocks.
I have the same thing. Last time, six months ago, we’re changing clocks. Nobody changed the clocks and everybody’s late. It takes people. It discombobulates everybody. So we can finally have a vote. We have the vote in the House. Mike Johnson did a great job.
Now, we’d like to have the vote in the Senate. Tom Cotton is holding it up. You know once if the farmers want it. You know once if sports want it. Professional sports and amateurs that would like to play tennis at night, would like to play golf a little bit without having to run home after 14 homes. It’s ridiculous.
It’s very expensive to do. It’s not a good thing. People don’t want to have to change their clocks twice a year. It’s a lot of work for a lot of people. They’re running around for two days changing all the clocks in their house.
It’s an easy win. And I’m not even talking about for the Republican Senate, for the Senate, because it’s a very bipartisan issue. And Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, a state that I won by 35 or 40 points, I don’t buy a lot, he’s got to do it.
