Sen. Ron Johnson, being the good little Trump toady that he is, went on Fox News to cry election fraud and illegal politicking over the fact that two candidates in Alaska had the same name. He made many baseless accusations of cheating and illegal politicking without offering any evidence. What he said after that caused me to do a spit take:
I think we’ll kind of see what ends up happening here on Tuesday. I mean there’s really not going to be, from my standpoint, Senate investigations moving forward until after Tuesday. The Department of Justice may already be looking at the evidence and calling people, talking to them as well. So again, I don’t know; obviously, the Department of Justice has far greater investigatory powers than we do.
I don’t know. I don’t know where this is all going to go, but it’s just shameful again. This is disgusting what the Democrats have done. Every American should want to, you know, restore confidence and integrity of our elections. Every elected official should certainly do that.
Democrats, they want to cheat. They’re doing nothing. They oppose voter ID. Eighty percent of Americans want it. So again, this is where Americans have to wake up and see what Democrats are doing here.
It’s so odd to hear RoJo tout the DOJ and the FBI when, just four years ago, he was screaming that they set him up when they spoke to him about being a Russian asset.
But that’s not so odd as listening to RoJo cry about election integrity when he was neck-deep in attempts to overturn the 2020 election, going so far as carrying slates of fake electors weeks after the election had been certified by the state. It’s amazing that RoJo’s head hasn’t imploded from the hypocrisy.
Perhaps the funniest thing is that all of RoJo’s faux outrage is for naught, since a judge already ruled that there is no there there. The people in Alaska are smart enough to understand what incumbent means, even if the Republicans in Trump’s circle don’t.
